Dino Crisis 2 is an action-adventure game that uses predetermined camera angles. Capcom Production Studio 4 changed the series' focus from the survival horror of the first Dino Crisis by creating a more action-packed arcade-style experience that featured more open areas, greater varieties of weapons and enemies and less emphasis on puzzles.

Join Regina, a familiar character from Dino Crisis, and a new character, Dylan, as they attempt to recover survivors of the Third Energy Crisis. Startling attacks, monsterously massive dinosaurs, disturbing images of corpses, and terrifying terrain will keep you on your toes the whole game. A new system has also been added since the first game. Killing dinosaurs will earn you points which you can spend on new weapons, ammo, larger clips, new tools, and health items. This motivates the player to keep the killing coming and coming. So, will you survive?
