Dungeon Overlord Forums

May 01, 2013  I still feel like I have a long ways to go. The biggest things that I'll relate are that you get a new dungeon every 10 levels, so at lvl 20th you can have 3 dungeons. Some dungeons are better than others for your expansion. You have to determine what resources you want, and you need to survey a dungeon before you can occupy it. Oh yeah, that game with the pricing straight from the bizarro dimension and from the developer who said 'Fuck patches, the paying retards can have fun playing MUD tv with a memory leak the size of Sweden and a bug shredding their savegame. It's great replay value!' Can't wait! And I loved Dungeon Keeper, so this annoys me even more.

OK I've recently returned to role playing after a sizable gap, and I'd like to start up an alternative dungeon bash game, where the PC's either play lowly goblins or orcs who advance through the ranks, or perhaps an Ars Magica style dungeon building game where the PCs play evil wizards and their henchmen - or something. Potentially a mixture of the two.
So I recall the old Dungeon Keeper computer game, there's the browser game; http://www.dungeonoverlord.com/ and I think there's a couple of board game equivalents - http://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/45315/dungeon-lords and others? But what's out there in the role playing world?
I have an old White Dwarf series - based on the Uruk Hai battle manual, Paizo have a downloadable scenario; http://paizo.com/products/btpy8j5w?Pathfinder-Module-We-Be-Goblins but I reckon there's more material out there.
So please any suggestion? either old rpgs? supplements? or magazine articles worth hunting down?
Cheers
